Solon Congregational Church Covenant

At The Solon Congregational Church we hold to the Christian teachings of Scripture and believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Believers are welcomed into the family of God based on a true repentance of sin, and a sincere acceptance of Jesus Christ as crucified Savior and risen Lord. We believe that the teachings of the Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, govern our lives. We seek communion with God through His Spirit, the Comforter, and trust He will confirm and strengthen our Christian faith.

Our Pastor

Pastor Tim Curtis desires to stay true to the Word of God through an exegetical, or verse by verse, style of preaching.; following the Bible’s teaching on the sovereignty of God and salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. A native of Madison, Maine, Tim has served several churches in central Maine, providing pulpit supply, leadership training and community development. Tim’s wife Cheryl is a nutrition educator for Somerset Public Health, teaching nutrition and cooking classes for all ages.

Tim and Cheryl have three children, Jakob and his wife Jessica live in Oklahoma where Jake is a doctor of physical therapy and Jess attends law school at OU; Raeanne teaches History at William Cohen Middle School in Bangor; and Maddie works as a Teen Director for Centenary Methodist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Prayer Requests

Have something you’d like the congregation to be praying about? You’re welcome to fill out the form below, and even make it anonymous.

Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
— James 5:14-15
